Enjoy lunch at a mountain chalet restaurant, marvel at the spectacular alpine scenery, meet the native New Zealand Parrot - the Kea, and take a short bush walk if you want. Travelling down from the mountains in the early afternoon, visit a real working sheep farm where you will see the sheep dogs working, sheep shearing and enjoy a farmhouse afternoon tea along with genuine New Zealand rural hospitality. A Jetboat ride deep into the Canyons / Gorges of the famous Waimakariri River will take you to areas inaccessible by foot. Return to Christchurch by coach across the Canterbury Plains to complete an unforgettable day out in New Zealand.
